Hakuba is one of Japan's snow resorts, where skiing and snowboarding can be enjoyed. However, Hakuba's attractions are not limited to the winter season. Kurashita-no-yu 倉下の湯
Kurashita-no-yu

Kurashita-no-yu is located along the Matsukawa River near the Hakuba Ohashi Bridge. Kurashita-no-yu has only an outside bath, however, you can enjoy the muddy brown "chloride and bicarbonate hot spring water". Enjoy the magnificent view of the Northern Alps from the natural outdoor hot spring bath.

Happo-no-yu 八方の湯
Happo-no-yu

Located at the entrance to Happo Onsen Town, Hakuba Happo Onsen is a highly alkaline hot spring with a Ph of over 11 and features an open-air bath containing natural hydrogen. The clear, colorless water with skin beautifying effects is also known as "Happo Bijin no Yu". From the bathtub, visitors can enjoy the beautiful mountains of Hakuba, including the Hakuba Sanzan.

Mimizuku-no-yu みみずくの湯
Mimizuku-no-yu

Located near Hakuba Station, Mimizuku no Yu is a day spa with indoor and outdoor baths. The pathway to the open-air, rock-like bath is a little unusual in that it is accessed by walking through a shallow part of the indoor bath and opening the door. The "onsen udon" is a specialty at the Mimizuku Teahouse, which is located next to the onsen.

Obinata-no-yu おびなたの湯
Obinata-no-yu

Obinata-no-yu, the closest of the Happo Onsen hot springs to the source, is the most alkaline hot spring in Japan. The natural hydrogen spring has anti-aging properties and removes dead skin cells, leaving the skin smooth and silky. A drinking fountainhead is also available, so you can drink the natural hydrogen spring water.

Sato-no-yu 郷の湯
Sato-no-yu

Sato-no-Yu opened in 1988. It is characterized by its quaint, hexagonal exterior. The bathtub is made of hinoki cypress, and visitors can enjoy bathing while feeling the warmth of the bark. The water temperature is slightly high, so it will warm your cold body from the core after mountain climbing or sightseeing in the snowy mountains. It is also recommended for those who like hot springs.
